Renault Registered 18.5% Sales Increase Boosted by Hybrid Technology

The first six months of 2021 have been positive for the automotive giant Renault. The French brand sold a total of 901,500 vehicles, supported by the European market, which acquired 59% of the units, while Latin America had 15.9%.


In Europe, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom were the countries boosting company sales, with Brazil being the most attractive market representing Latin America. 


The E-TECH segment has been one of Renault’s key growth factors. One out of every four of its cars sold in Europe was hybrid technology, with the Arkana model representing 50% of sales.


Renault Group published its worldwide sales results, which despite the current economic crisis caused by Covid-19, reported a sales increase in Kiger, India (+86.6%) and Duster, Russia (+36%), two of its most important markets.

Dacia

Renault Group managed to sell 1,422,600 vehicles, 901,500 units being Renault-branded. A part of the remaining demand came from Dacia, which sold 262,814 cars (+ 24.5%), with the New Sandero model being the most demanded.

Lada

Russia was the most important country for Lada brand, selling 200,219 vehicles (+ 51%) there, making it number one with 23%, the best figure in the last 10 years.
