San Pedro Garza García, in Monterrey, Mexico, is preparing to become a meeting point for mobility experts from across Latin America.
On March 3, the San Pedro Auditorium will host “Latam Mobility North America 2026“, an international forum that will bring together more than 50 leaders, executives, and specialists from the sector to discuss innovative solutions in urban transportation, smart cities, and sustainability.
The mayor of San Pedro, Mauricio Farah Giacomán, emphasized that this meeting reflects his administration’s priority: to transform mobility in San Pedro by integrating technology and strategic planning in the short, medium, and long term.

Sustainable Mobility as a Priority
The «Latam Mobility North America 2026» will feature more than 50 national and international speakers who will address key topics such as charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, decarbonization of last-mile logistics, and financing sustainable mobility projects.
For San Pedro, mobility is not just infrastructure, but a central component of urban development. “We want to mark a before and after, putting mobility at the center of our agenda,” said Farah Giacomán.

The summit will serve as a platform to analyze public policies, foster technological innovation, and promote cooperation between governments and the private sector, with the aim of accelerating the transition to cleaner, more efficient, and safer transportation systems.
According to Andrés García Giraldo, Mobility Director at Latam Mobility, sustainable mobility is a reality on the continent, but it needs clear public policies and constant collaboration. “It’s not just about electromobility. It includes road safety, smart cities, energy sources, and road culture,” he said.
Technology Exhibition Open to the Public
The event will also feature a technology exhibition outside the San Pedro Auditorium, open to the public, where visitors can see electric and autonomous vehicles, charging stations, and innovative urban solutions.
In addition, local advances in the San Pedro Circuits and smart traffic lights, which allow for better traffic management in the city, will be presented.

The municipality’s secretary general, Luis Susarrey Flores, highlighted that the San Pedro Circuits, which operate 15 routes and transport more than 120,000 users per month, will be an example of how urban planning can improve the lives of citizens.
San Pedro will take advantage of the forum to showcase concrete advances in urban infrastructure:
- Traffic lights with UPS backup: currently, 50% of traffic lights have backup batteries, with the goal of reaching 100% in the coming months.
- Synchronization: progress is being made in the implementation of cutting-edge technology that will improve traffic flow and reduce travel times by 2026.
“The summit will allow us to share what we do well and learn from the successful experiences of other cities such as Santiago, Medellín, and Buenos Aires,” said Susarrey Flores.

A Forum for Joint Decision-Making
The event is expected to draw 500 decision-makers, mobility experts, and state and municipal officials, as well as citizens interested in technology and sustainable transportation.
The «Latam Mobility North America 2026» seeks to foster partnerships, exchange experiences, and accelerate the transition to cleaner and more efficient transportation, consolidating San Pedro as a benchmark for mobility throughout Latin America.
Thus, on March 3 at the San Pedro Auditorium, there will be a space for dialogue, learning, and collaboration, where ideas will be transformed into concrete projects that will drive the future of urban transportation throughout the region.
