The Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo is set to host the 2026 edition of “Latam Mobility & Net Zero Brasil,” the region’s most influential business event focused on sustainable mobility and decarbonization.

Taking place on April 15–16, the event will bring together more than 1,000 participants, including CEOs, managers, and senior executives, to examine a market that has kicked off the year with unprecedented growth. In just the first two months of 2026, electrified vehicle sales in Brazil surged 90% year over year, reaching a 14% market share.

The event comes at a time of rapid expansion. With more than 70 experts and 20 dedicated exhibition stands, the summit is positioned as a strategic platform to explore the future of a national fleet that already exceeds 613,000 electrified vehicles on the road.

The gathering will play a key role in aligning industry efforts with projections from the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association (ABVE), which expects 2026 to close with a record 300,000 new vehicle registrations.

The Path to Mass Electrification

One of the event’s core pillars will be analyzing the industrial policies needed for Brazil to lead the global value chain. Following a 2025 marked by the launch of local manufacturing plants by major players such as BYD and GWM, discussions will focus on strengthening domestic production and advancing regional integration.

Brazil’s industry is no longer just importing technology—it is beginning to produce it locally, with fully electric models leading retail sales rankings.

The electrification of public transit and the renewal of commercial fleets will also take center stage. Topics will include procurement models and financing structures to scale electric bus adoption, while the logistics sector will focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI).

The objective is clear: optimize last-mile operations through artificial intelligence and telematics, significantly reducing carbon emissions in major metropolitan areas.

Charging Infrastructure and Integrated Solutions

To support fleet growth, the summit will take a technical deep dive into charging infrastructure challenges. Brazil has recently surpassed 21,000 public and semi-public charging points, representing a 42% annual increase.

Experts will examine system interoperability and the expansion of fast and ultra-fast chargers, which already make up 31% of the national network and can deliver up to an 80% charge in just 30 minutes.

The event will also explore the rise of smart cities and micromobility, where real-time data and connectivity are becoming essential tools for managing the impact of EVs on the power grid.

Technical safety and certification, particularly in battery lifecycle management and the circular economy, will be critical to ensuring a safe and sustainable energy transition.

The Multi-Energy Approach

Heavy-duty transport requires diversified solutions, which will be explored in depth at the summit. Strategies based on a multi-energy approach—combining renewable energy, biofuels, and green hydrogen—will be presented.

This approach aims to leverage Brazil’s clean energy mix to decarbonize major logistics corridors, positioning the country as a global hub for energy and technology exports in heavy mobility.

Financing and insurance for sustainable mobility projects will act as key enablers of these investments. Through discussions on tax incentives and public-private partnerships, the event aims to lower barriers to entry for new technologies and ensure that the transition to a Net Zero economy is economically viable.
