The energy transition in Latin America takes center stage as the premier forum for dialogue, collaboration, and deal-making at Latam Mobility Southern Cone 2026.
On August 25, the Intercontinental Hotel in Santiago, Chile will host more than 500 attendees, including government authorities, vehicle manufacturers, fleet operators, charging infrastructure providers, tech startups, and public policy experts.
With Argentina as the guest of honor, this seventh edition—part of the Latam Mobility 2026 Tour—is shaping up to be the can’t-miss gathering for everyone driving electromobility and transport decarbonization across the Southern Cone.

Chile: A Living Electromobility Lab Inspiring the Region
The host country arrives with numbers that cement its status as an undisputed leader in Latin American electromobility. In the first five months of 2026, 4,168 new 100% electric vehicles were sold in Chile—a cumulative jump of 96.8% compared to the same stretch in 2025.
Plug-in hybrid sales hit 2,955 units, an increase of 327.5%, while extended-range electric vehicles reached 679 units. In the zero- and low-emission light and medium vehicle market, Tesla currently leads with a 27.1% share, followed by Volvo (8.4%) and BYD (8.3%).

Charging infrastructure is expanding fast: the country now boasts 2,159 public charging stations, which works out to a density of 8.04 chargers per 100 electrified vehicles—the highest rate in the region.
Public transit, meanwhile, hit a historic milestone with 4,088 electric buses now operating in Santiago’s RED Mobility system. That equals 62% of the total fleet, with projections to reach 4,400 units by year-end.

High-Level Agenda and Strategic Networking
Latam Mobility Southern Cone 2026 will be the stage where the most critical topics defining the future of regional transport come together.
Throughout the day, attendees will dive into debates on integrating sustainable mobility as a core pillar of governance and regional coordination, tackling how to harmonize public policies and accelerate the energy transition from a collaborative, cross-border perspective.
Charging infrastructure and its relationship with public transport take center stage, with in-depth looks at the deployment of charging points, interoperability models, and the role of operators as key enablers for mass EV adoption in urban settings.

Alongside leading manufacturers and importers, the event will explore industrial leadership in the region, supply-chain strategies tailored to local markets, and the logistical challenges inherent in this massive shift.
Shared mobility, micromobility, and passenger transport are also major focal points, especially as these alternatives gain serious traction in Latin American cities as a response to congestion and the growing demand for cleaner options.

The agenda also puts a spotlight on the value chain and decarbonization, analyzing how sectors like logistics, retail, and distribution are weaving sustainability criteria into their daily operations and supply chains.
A Space for Alliances that will Transform Mobility
Latam Mobility Southern Cone 2026 isn’t just a summit—it’s the most important international collaboration ecosystem of the year for sustainable mobility.
With an exhibition and experience zone, dedicated matchmaking spaces for fleets and charging, and the presence of the sector’s most influential players, the event offers a unique opportunity to forge strategic alliances, discover the latest tech innovations, and help shape the policies that will set the course for electromobility in the coming years.
As a special highlight, a featured conversation about the opportunities for mass EV adoption in Argentina—this year’s guest country—will open a bridge for cross-border cooperation in sustainable mobility.
