Beat to Open Large Engineering and Technology Innovation Center in Mexico City

With its mission to develop innovative applications to facilitate the interconnection of users seeking to move within cities, Beat has had an important focus on its operations in Latin America.

Recently, the company implemented its innovation “Beat Zero” in Mexico City, a private fleet of electric cars and drivers hired to travel exclusively with zero emissions. And now, as part of their global expansion plan, they are announcing their third technology and engineering innovation center.

Just like the Beat Zero tool, the new complex will also be located in the Mexican capital, a metropolis that they consider key in the world’s technological ecosystem.

With the inauguration of this space, Beat invests heavily in the development of innovative projects, with the aim of reducing friction in the transportation infrastructure of Latin America’s largest cities.

The so-called “LatAm Hub” will join the global efforts to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the platform, offering more functionality to passengers, drivers and cities, which results, among others, in a fast and efficient implementation for the new features of the Beat application.

For Beat’s Chief Technology Officer, Thanassis Bantios, Latin America has become a new epicenter of technological innovation, a timely circumstance to create this technological engineering hub in the region.

“Our Latin American Hub in Mexico City represents a critical expansion of our world-class technology talent and our exceptional global engineering presence,” he said.

Qualified Staff

With the goal of completely revolutionizing its mobility solutions in Latin America, Beat plans to hire talented professionals across a spectrum of skills, ranging from developers to Product managers.

For the Greek-based company, this expansion comes at an exciting time for engineers because of Beat’s focus on the continuous development of advanced technologies to be exported to the markets where the application is available.
