The Mexican Association for the Promotion of Electric Vehicles (AMIVE) and the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Canacintra) signed a collaboration agreement to promote electromobility for small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) affiliated to the Chamber.
According to Energía a Debate, the agreement, which is valid indefinitely, was signed by Francisco Cabeza Santillana on behalf of AMIVE and Esperanza Ortega Azar, President of Canacintra.
“AMIVE with Canacintra and its Energy Committee will seek to promote and collaborate to give all the support to the members of the Chamber and the association in order to support the industry in Mexico and thus accelerate Electric Mobility,” said Cabeza Santillana.

Association’s Focus
Among AMIVE‘s objectives is to promote innovation and the implementation of sustainable technologies and practices “to build a more sustainable future”.
The Association led by Cabeza is called to lead an agenda focused on electromobility, before an important number of representatives from the public sector, authorities, associations and companies linked to sustainable mobility.
The aim is to link diverse actors, detonate common reflections on the challenges, and be a source of shared solutions to solve them. The electric mobility ecosystem is one of the most complex in the contemporary world, and a comprehensive understanding of it is essential.
AMIVE details that Mexico has an enormous potential for transformation. Currently, the transportation sector is responsible for 25% of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions. And almost half of these emissions are generated by cargo and delivery fleets, which represent just one out of every five vehicles in Mexico; just under 11 million vehicles in circulation.
