ANAC specified that conventional hybrids (HEV) accumulated a growth of 61.5% with 3,056 registrations as of October. The 100% electric models (BEV), on the other hand, increased by 13.2%, totaling 1,221 units marketed. “With these results, both break records in terms of cumulative sales,” they said in their monthly report.

The scenario is different for plug-in hybrids and micro-hybrids, which saw a contraction of 3.6% and 0.9% respectively, with 379 and 2,203 units sold each.

In relation to the performance of the segments, the guild reported a strong rise in SUVs, whose sales increased by 79.3%. However, there was a drop in the rest: passenger vehicles decreased by 0.2%, pick-ups by 5.7% and commercial vehicles, with the worst performance, had a decrease of 59.7%.

Buses continued to show large increases (581.4% so far this year) due to the incorporation of electric units into the RED system, reaching 1,390 buses sold as of October. Trucks added 34%, reaching 31 registered units.
