After reaching important goals in 2022 with respect to emissions reduction, Andes Motor sealed a key alliance with Enel X Way with the delivery of 20 new electric cars that will be used in shared mobility applications.
Andes Motor managed to prevent 17.5 thousand tons of CO2 from being expelled into the atmosphere last year. The SUVs, pickups, vans, vans, buses and electric trucks marketed by the company complete 40 million kilometers traveled since 2019, the date on which it sold its first emission-free vehicle.
Within the framework of the alliance with Enel, there are already 50 active emission-free cars so that Uber driver-members can access them through the leasing modality with Tucar.

Boost in Chile
In August 2022, Enel X Way put into circulation a first fleet of 10 units out of a total of 30 of the Maxus Euniq 6 SUV, the first of its kind for passengers in Chile from the brand represented and distributed by Andes Motor.
“The new fleet of vehicles will allow us to continue promoting efficient and environmentally friendly electric mobility. This year we will continue to consolidate important alliances that will help us accelerate the energy transition of all types of fleets, from light vehicles, last mile logistics, trucks, among others, said Andrés Pizarro, Marketing and Sales Manager of Enel X Way”.
For his part, Andes Motor’s Network Manager, Gustavo Méndez expressed his satisfaction for continuing to consolidate the company’s position as specialists in electromobility, delivering a solution to such an important partner as Enel X Way.
“These 50 units of electric vehicles of the Maxus and MG brands will allow us to continue massifying this new, quieter and more environmentally friendly technology,” he added.
The 50 current units will be able to be supplied on the charging network that Enel X Way has developed to guarantee the operational continuity of the cars.
The cars are already at Tucar’s disposal, which will allow driver-partners to access this type of cars through leasing, in order to continue generating profits in a flexible way through the Uber platform.
