Arra Reaches Mexico to Promote Electromobility in Latin America

With an ambitious plan in which it will market its vehicles in 20 cities in 12 states, the U.S. company Arra lands in Mexico to offer its attractive range of electrified cars.

Three cars will be presented to the market with high technology and optimum ecological levels. The Arra models arrive with two levels of equipment and performance.

The first is Arra 3S and the most equipped is called 3SE Plus. It has a total length of 4,473 meters by 1,538 meters in height and a width of 1,822 meters. It has space for five passengers.

Design and Range

Their main differences are in the range of autonomy and, secondly, in the aesthetic section as both share the same powertrain.

The 3SE Plus level has exclusive aluminum wheels and electrically adjustable and deployable rear-view mirrors.

It also has elements such as daytime running lights, front and rear LEDs, rear spoiler, panoramic roof and hidden handles.

Power and Load

The vehicle has a permanent magnet synchronous motor that drives both versions. It is mounted on the front axle, is powered by a ternary lithium battery that can be powered by alternating and direct current (AC and DC).

The brand specifies that charging times in AC, from a level of 20% to 100%, are 7 hours for the 3S and 7.5 hours for the 3SE Plus.

In turn, when using a direct current charger, for the two versions, 30 minutes are spent from 30% to 80% of the battery charge level.

The 3S level specifies a range of 420 kilometers while the second of 610 kilometers. But if driven without exceeding 60 km/h, the entry-level version can roll up to 533 kilometers while the 3SE Plus reaches about 774 kilometers.

According to the Arra data sheet, the engine produces 120 kW, 280 Nm of torque and can reach 160 km/h top speed.

By the end of this year, the company intends to be marketing 2,000 units in Mexico, which it sees as the starting point for entering the Latin American market.
