Astara Chile Advances in Initiatives to Reduce Emissions in the Vehicle Fleet

Astara Chile has carried out several actions to promote the transition towards the decarbonization of transport, such as having the widest range of low or zero emission vehicles, or being part of the Climate Group EV100, a global initiative that brings together companies from different sectors committed to the electrification of their fleets by 2030, among others.

In this sense, a group of more than 200 employees of Astara Chile joined the leasing program, choosing low- or zero-emission cars, aiming to be one of the leading companies in electromobility in Chile and the world.

According to local press reviews, Astara Chile’s collaborators are eligible for the leasing program where the offer, starting this year, includes only electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles, another step in the search for a low CO2 emissions mobility.

Unrestricted Commitment

Ignacio Bengoechea, Automotive General Manager of Astara Chile, assured that the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility is increasingly robust.

“We know that it is very important to provide a wide electric offer, where everyone can find the car that fits their lifestyle. Likewise, it is equally important for us that those who integrate Astara Chile are real ambassadors of electromobility. The best way to achieve this is to become users of these technologies, setting an example,” he said.

More than 10 models, including city car, sedan, SUV and SUV belonging to the brands BYD Auto, Chery, GAC Motor, Fiat, SsangYong and Jeep, were the offer from which the collaborators could choose. In total, there are more than 220 who signed up and who, starting this year, will begin to move on a low or zero emissions vehicle.
