BYD Confirms Participation in the 2022 Auto Show

Aiming to present its innovations, product updates and affirm its leadership in new technologies, BYD confirmed its participation in the 2022 Motor Show, to be held this year in Paris.

The motor show is a public car exhibition, usually organized by manufacturers to showcase new models, prototype cars, racing cars and classic cars.

Notably, this year BYD has provided its New Energy Vehicle (NEV) service to more than 2.1 million customers, and, in the first half of the year, reached a new milestone of passenger NEV sales, exceeding 640,000 units.

The Chinese manufacturer maintains its long-term vision for electrification in transportation, committing to the development and evolution of sustainable technology to reduce global carbon emissions.

Another interesting bet by the brand has been to commit to regional partnerships to help accelerate change, and provide customers with comprehensive local support for its products.

Event Track Record

The first time BYD attended a European auto show was at the Geneva Motor Show in 2008, when the world’s first F3DM PHEV was researched, developed and presented by the company. Now, 14 years later, BYD has chosen the Paris Motor Show to underline its commitment to bringing a range of new energy passenger vehicles to customers in Europe.

According to BYD Europe and International Cooperation Division General Manager and CEO, Michael Shu, participating in the prestigious international automotive industry event is the perfect platform to showcase its eMobility solutions in Europe. He also assured that it serves as a showcase to reinforce the commitment to sustainability.

“We are excited to bring the BYD brand, and our latest innovations in passenger vehicles equipped with world-leading technology, to customers in Europe. We look forward to developing relationships with European dealers at this momentous time to offer customers innovative and sustainable solutions,” he added.

European Spearhead

In the aftermath of the pandemic, BYD has set out to recapture the European market. Specifically in Norway, the company successfully launched its Tang SUV receiving a positive response from consumers.

Following the success, BYD recently appointed key distribution partners in Europe to continue expanding its presence in the old continent. Thanks to these partnerships, the brand is now poised to enter the European market more broadly by showcasing its latest range of NEVs and industry innovations from a prime location at the Paris Motor Show.
