Chevrolet Launched the Blazer EV 2024

As part of the General Motors (GM) group, Chevrolet is on a crusade for the electrification of its vehicles, with an interesting strategy that presents a new range of electric vehicles.

In its vision of selling only zero-emission cars by 2035, the brand presented its latest model. It is the Blazer EV 2024, which, in addition to arriving with cutting-edge technology, aims to shape the roadmap focused on having more affordable cars for purchase.

This prototype will make up the new generation of electric vehicles that includes the Equinox EV SUV and the Silverado EV pickup, each of which is currently in a different stage of development.

Among the versions available will be Chevrolet’s most iconic, such as the design-focused RS and the SS, which adds more performance. It will be the first time the brand will have an electric vehicle with this differential.

Model Details

According to the specifications published by Chevrolet on its official website, the Blazer has an estimated range of up to 515 kilometers on a full charge, and available front-wheel, rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations offer customers more options.

Regarding its technological features, the model is based on GM’s innovative Ultium platform, with athletic styling that elevates the heralded design established in 2018 by Chevrolet Blazer gasoline, and performance inspired by the Camaro and Corvette.

According to General Motors estimates, the Blazer EV will be capable of 0-100 km/h acceleration in less than 4 seconds.

Chevrolet Vice President Scott Bell noted that the 2024 Blazer EV sets a new standard for electric SUVs, with intuitive options and technologies that help position Chevrolet as a leader in one of the fastest-growing electric vehicle segments.

“Along with the new Silverado EV coming this fall (boreal) and the Equinox EV coming in the fall (boreal) of 2023, we’re making great strides to offer more zero tailpipe emission vehicle options that make it easier than ever to switch to an Electric Vehicle,” he added.

Chevrolet plans to launch the truck by the middle of next year in the United States, with other major markets, including South America, to follow shortly thereafter.
