Climate Economy Forum: Mobility Leaders from Invest in Latam Review Sustainable Landscape in Mexico

Maria Cabeza, Leader for Latam Mobility in Mexico, shared her thoughts during the Climate Economy Forum – PreCOP28, a virtual meeting organized by Latam Green, the largest sustainable community in Latin America, in the company of Andres Garcia, Mobility Director at Invest in Latam, where together they explored the sustainable mobility landscape in Mexico.

Cabeza highlighted the importance of the information they have been receiving, underlining the need to give it significant attention. She emphasized the leaders’ commitment at the meeting, recognizing the clear challenges facing the mobility sector.

She stressed that, from their respective perspectives, it is key to engage and work together to address needs and find solutions.

Climate Economy Forum: Mexico with Great Development Potential

The central idea that the leader in Mexico for Invest in Latam conveyed is that progress in sustainable mobility requires collaboration and teamwork between different sectors.

She highlighted the importance of events such as the Climate Economy Forum to provide the necessary spaces where leaders can come together, discuss and seek solutions.

She also shared concrete plans for the coming year, such as the North America Mobility and Net Zero Summit 2024, scheduled for February 8 in Monterrey.

Cabeza concluded by inviting the public and private sectors to join forces, highlighting the Energy Summit in Mexico City in April and another event in October. Its vision is to bring together mobility leaders to work together and transmit the necessary strength to achieve significant advances.

Andres Garcia rounded out Cabeza’s presentation by reporting on future meetings and opportunities for the coming year. He highlighted specific talks on sustainable mobility, decarbonization, circular economy, and renewable energy, especially in solar and wind generation.

He encouraged participants to keep an eye on the 2024 agenda and mentioned the presence of confirmed panelists for the Monterrey event.

In this way, both representatives from Invest in Latam showed cohesion in leading initiatives that promote sustainable mobility in Mexico, addressing challenges and fostering collaboration between public and private sector leaders, focused on the key of working together to leave a positive impact and achieve progress.
