Colombia will be the core of the future of sustainable mobility within the framework of the “Latam Mobility Virtual Summit”

 • During the previous edition of February, more than 24,000 spectators joined the meeting. This edition will focus on the markets of Colombia, Central America and the Caribbean on June 9 and 10.

    
The main figures of sustainable mobility in Colombia, Central America and the Caribbean will be part of the second Latam Mobility Virtual Summit in 2021, including ministers and mayors of the main capitals of Latin America.

 
This will be the fourth meeting on sustainable mobility organized virtually and free of charge by Latam Mobility since the start of the pandemic.

After bringing together more than 24,000 executives at the regional meeting on sustainable mobility organized in February, the “Latam Mobility Virtual Summit” returns with an edition for Colombia, Central America and the Caribbean” on June 9 and 10, with the in order to increase the plans for the decarbonization and electrification of mobility in Latin America

With the inclusion of some 1,485 electric buses to its public transport fleets, Colombia has become the country with the most vehicles of this type globally behind China and, of course, they are the core of the reduction of carbon emissions in Latin America.

 On the other hand, after more than a year after the confinement was decreed, the sectors related to the development of technologies and sustainable means of transport continue to grow in the region.

A study carried out by the global consultancy, McKinsey & Company, determined that at least 150 cities around the world made changes to their laws to benefit mobility and sustainable transportation even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, a fact that directly involves various countries in Central America and the Caribbean.

In this sense, the “Latam Mobility Virtual Summit” will become the ideal space to promote initiatives in investments related to sustainable mobility and highlight the importance of the decarbonization plans stipulated for 2030.

Once again, Latam Mobility will offer two days with quality content at no cost to the public, with a space for active networking and access to quality information. For two days, dozens of professionals from the region will discuss the future of sustainable mobility in Latin America, in a meeting that will bring together the main executives from the public and private sectors.

On both dates, more than 70 high-profile speakers will discuss the next million-dollar investments in charging infrastructure, electric bus fleets and innovation in the region.

Other topics that will be addressed in the panels are smart mobility through mobile applications, as well as business transport and fleet management solutions.

The meeting can be seen live through different digital platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, in line with Latam Mobility’s commitment to the development of the region and its professionals.
