Siemens has used its high technological capacity to enter the electromobility market, with the development of solutions related to electric vehicles and charging infrastructure.
The German company has platforms such as the traction system for electrified cars, components for charging stations, supply center in public spaces, control center for charger management, among others.
In the specific area of charging infrastructure, Siemens announced the launch of two new models of chargers for electric vehicles in the Brazilian market.

Models
The first is Sicharge-D, an ultra-fast charger for public spaces with powers between 160 kW and 300 kW. According to the company, the difference is the charging cable, which supports 400 amperes peak. This means an actual charge of 150 kW for several models of electric vehicles available in Brazil.
The equipment has the capacity to be expanded with two more fast charging points (DC) to charge up to five electric vehicles simultaneously.
Siemens highlights that the main benefit is the possibility of recharging the battery from 20% to 80% in about 20 minutes, making the convenience of use very close to that of a combustion vehicle, which fills up in a few minutes.
The second charger is the 7kW and 22kW VersiCharge, a model available since 2022 in Siemens units in São Paulo and Jundiaí (SP) for charging electric vehicles of the company’s fleet. It now reaches the residential, commercial and parking lot markets.
The user of this model has control for monitoring and reporting, integrated cable management and LED indicators. The solution can be column-mounted or wall-mounted and power can be adjusted according to regional needs.
Availability
Users of the product will be able to download the Sifinity Go mobile app, available for Android and iOS platforms. With this software, the manufacturer claims it can fully monitor up to 10 chargers.
Siemens has been working on projects to develop the Megacharge concept, charging up to 3.2 MW of power for heavy electric vehicles. The technology promises to enable its use in long-distance applications.
The company is also developing, together with Witricity, wireless charging solutions, in order to significantly increase the convenience of charging electric cars.
