The Agencia de Sostenibilidad Energética carried out a successful test drive of the Chevrolet Bolt EUV model, as part of the Mi Taxi Eléctrico program, promoted by the Ministry of Energy and funded by the Regional Government.
Thus, the activity allowed taxi and collective transport owners from the Biobío region to experience firsthand the advantages of electromobility.
The event took place at the facilities of the Salfa branch in Talcahuano and was attended by authorities such as the Seremi de Energía, Jorge Cáceres, and the Sustainable Mobility Manager of the Agencia de Sostenibilidad Energética, Héctor Cabrera.
During the day, attendees had the opportunity to drive the Chevrolet Bolt EUV, a 100% electric vehicle with a range of 383.5 km and energy regeneration technology, optimizing performance and efficiency.
Electric Mobility in Chile
The Seremi de Energía, Jorge Cáceres, highlighted the importance of this milestone for the advancement of electromobility and sustainable development in local public transport.
Meanwhile, the Sustainable Mobility Manager of the Agencia de Sostenibilidad Energética, Héctor Cabrera, emphasized that the Chevrolet Bolt EUV is incorporated into the catalog of the Mi Taxi Eléctrico program, offering transport operators an efficient and eco-friendly option to renew their vehicles.
Regarding the Mi Taxi Eléctrico program, it allows taxi and collective transport owners to access co-financing for the acquisition of electric vehicles. In the Biobío region, there are two financing options:
Option with home charger: Subsidy from $12,800,000 to $16,000,000, plus the installation of an energized charger at the beneficiary’s home.
Option without home charger: Subsidy from $10,000,000 to $12,500,000.
Thus, the Chevrolet Bolt EUV, included in the program catalog, has the maximum co-financing available in both options. Its total price is $29,664,530, but thanks to the subsidy, beneficiaries will be able to acquire it for $13,664,530 with charger or $10,839,530 without charger.
