Enel X Introduces Innovations and Mobility Perspectives at the “Latam Mobility: Colombia 2023”

Within the framework of its great strategy of decarbonization and promotion of sustainable mobility and electromobility in the region, the Enel Group, through its different divisions such as Enel X and Enel X Way, had an outstanding participation in the summi “Latam Mobility: Colombia 2023.”

The Italian company had a stand during the two days of the meeting, where they presented their innovations and attended the attendees in a great day of networking.

Enel also stood out in the panels scheduled on the agenda with the participation of Esteban Duque, Head of E Buses Colombia & Central America of Enel X, who offered perspectives on “The Public Transport Decarbonization and Bus Fleets in Colombia.”

The executive emphasized the need for Latin American cities to move towards an integrated and low-emission transportation system, which will translate into quality of life for citizens.

Another keynote speaker was Mauricio Miranda, Head of Enel X Way Colombia and Central America. The executive offered his great experience in the panel “Implementation Strategies for Charging Infrastructure in Latin America“.

Miranda explained that Enel X Way equipment offers intelligent hardware that not only talks to the vehicle, but also to the user, and involves them in the charging process.

“In the very near future, the chargers will not talk in one direction, but will enter the grid where the customer will put his ‘battery with four wheels’, sell energy that he has stored in his vehicle, and will be part of the value chain of electric mobility,” he explained.

Diego Valderrama, Head of Business to Government Colombia & Central America of Enel X had an outstanding participation in the debate “Sustainable Mobility: The Great Opportunity for Energy Companies.”

During his speech, the executive pointed out that beyond being an environmental necessity, sustainable mobility represents a great alternative for organizations to be more efficient in their operations, save costs and have a new profitable business model.
