Geotab brings its innovation to Latin America with a wide range of products for fleet management

The leading company in engineering and development of data through telematics for fleets, Geotab, carried out a seminar called “Geo News”, a virtual event where they informed about the news and products that will be released soon for Latin America.

Shanna Cova, Geotab Partner Account Manager, was in charge of making the announcements that the company brings to Latin America, among which the “Community” web portal in Spanish stands out, a space where Internet users can ask questions, share experiences and learn from others to improve the future of telematics.

“You can clarify doubts about databases, questions about sales and Marketplace. In addition, it has a search engine where you can write keywords with your questions. In the event that the query does not yield results, you will be able to contact someone from the virtual team to get answers to your concerns,” said the representative.

Shanna explained that the community is also open to share the challenges of the fleets and personalize reports to improve safety: “It is a networking space where you can increase knowledge about Geotab and all our webinars are recorded there.”

To access the Geotab Community in Spanish, you just have to go to www.community.geotab.com, register, enter the type of user (customer or distributor). If you do not have a user, you can still ask questions. It should be noted that the platform is totally free.

Keyless

The Keyless solution is another of the products offered by Geotab. It is a digital key that allows all types of fleets, mostly corporate, to access remotely to manage the operation and determine which drivers can operate the vehicle.

Companies can control their fleets through applications or bluetooth, and it has worked perfectly to avoid starting the vehicle without the consent of the virtual key.

“It is easy to install, scalable and compatible with vehicles of any make, model and year that have an electronic key. After having integrated the electronic key into the hardware, drivers can launch the app on their smartphone and use the vehicle’s locking and unlocking functions directly from their mobile phone,” explained Shanna.

Ureader

Another novelty presented by Geotab in its seminar has been Ureader. According to Cova, this product allows the automated download of the digital tachograph and the driver to the MyGeotabos database of the vehicle and the driver.

“It helps us to identify who is driving the vehicle and all the data required from the car can be downloaded, further expanding security,” stressed the Account Partner Manager.

EV data Pro

This software was created to strengthen the electrification strategy in Latin America and the infrastructure it needs for its development and its load structure.

In EV data Pro, Geotab has some customers who already own electric vehicles and can take advantage of all the data. The company supports more than 100 electric-based car models and is making pilots in multiple countries to support brands in the region.

Marketplace Partners in Latam

This product introduces new solutions within the Geotab ecosystem, which were created in Latin America, however have the ability to function in various countries around the world.

Among the explanations are the solutions developed by Didcom: Passenger identification (PID) Temperature monitoring (TPM) or the one developed by Navisaf B-Safe that reports risk situations to protect drivers and pedestrians, among others.

Other attractive solutions on the Marketplace are the GPS Decoy developed by Triple Zeta useful to recover stolen vehicles and MetriKAMS, a set of cameras where the front part and the cabin of the vehicle can be visualized, with the aim of improving security. All these solutions can be integrated into the MyGeotab platform.

Finally, Geotab also announced the launch of www.geotab.com/es-latam/ a website dedicated to Latin America that is already underway and you can find interesting content in Spanish oriented to the technological development that is being carried out and working in the region.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to customers and highlighted that they will continue to hold the GeoNews seminar to offer detailed information on an industry that is constantly innovating and evolving.
