Geotab Signs Fleet Management Contract with the State of Ohio

Geotab’s impressive technology platform, a leader in telematics and connected transportation, has earned it the trust of U.S. government agencies to manage their fleets.

Geotab earned its reputation as the leading telematics provider for government agencies in 2019 when the General Services Administration (GSA) awarded it the largest telematics contract in history.

This time, the company was selected as the telematics provider for the U.S. state of Ohio to enhance its fleet management capabilities.

The contract allows government agencies at the state and local level to easily equip fleet vehicles with Geotab’s innovative and proven tools.

What does Geotab Offer?

By equipping government vehicles with Geotab’s connected vehicle solutions, fleets can leverage accurate and timely data to make more broadly informed decisions related to state goals of improving utilization and maintenance, and gaining better location insights.

Beyond state goals, Geotab’s open platform is able to help optimize other areas of their fleet, including driver safety, fuel efficiency, winter operations, among others.

The agreement with the State of Ohio helps mitigate the burden of lengthy RFP cycles and provides access to Geotab’s full suite of innovative fleet management solutions, including important aspects such as Electric Vehicle Fitness Assessment.

Associate Vice President of Business Development, Government at Geotab, Neil Garrett noted that being selected as the only telematics provider in the state of Ohio adds to the company’s growing and robust contract portfolio.

“We are confident that the breadth of Geotab’s solution will help the state of Ohio achieve its current and future goals for fleet optimization,” he noted.

South American Presence and Latam Mobility Participation: Chile

In addition to its strong involvement with U.S. government agencies, Geotab’s innovation is also being consolidated in Latin America by working with various public and private sector players.

In this sense, the company will be a Gold Partner in the Latam Mobility: Chile face-to-face meeting, which will be held on August 30 and 31 at the W Santiago Hotel.

The Summit will bring together sustainable mobility leaders from across the region to visualize the prospects of the renewable energy industry, green hydrogen, charging infrastructure, clean fuels, mobility as a service, smart cities and the vision of leading manufacturers.
