As part of its major electrification strategy, Hyundai Motor aims to market more than 3 million electric vehicles per year by 2030, a figure that represents 12% of the global market.
In addition, by the beginning of the next decade, the Asian brand plans to introduce 11 cars with these technologies, including three sedans, six SUVs, one light commercial vehicle and one new model type.
This roadmap also includes the Latin American market as part of the expansion process, for which it presented its first electrified car in Venezuela.
It is the Hyundai Kona 2022, a 100% electric crossover SUV with high technology, which will be available for sale through its dealer network throughout the country.

The Kona electric model is a second generation vehicle, which has had great acceptance in the European market and is now available in Venezuela in its 39.2 KWH and 64 KWH versions upon request (6 months).
It is front wheel drive, comes equipped with a 135 Hp engine and a torque of 395 N.m. that takes it from 0 to 100 Kph in only 9.9 seconds and a range of 305 Kms. for its 39.2 KWH version and 201 Hp with a range of 484 Kms. for the 64KWH version.
The battery can be charged directly through connection to a 110 V plug with the vehicle’s built-in charger. It has a 39 kW/h lithium polymer battery which provides, in addition to the 300 km mentioned above, a range of 220 km in dynamic driving.
It also has regenerative brakes, which allows the braking energy to be used to recharge the battery and extend the range. It also has a reinforced high-strength steel structure designed to absorb impact forces in the event of crashes, 16-inch high-temperature brakes, airbags and other options.
Hyundai’s commercial vice-president, José Vicente Gómez, explained that the car will be available for purchase through a financing agreement with the network of authorized dealers, an alternative that will become effective as of July 15 of this year.
