Regional Progress

The Sonora Government has had important meetings with the Ministry of Economy, with the vision of giving continuity to the efforts aimed at attracting investments for mining projects, especially those related to electromobility and semiconductor production.

In addition, Durazo’s administration conducted several tours in Europe and Asia during 2023, seeking to consolidate alliances and attract investments from companies related to these strategic sectors.

It is worth noting that, in terms of metallurgical production, Sonora reached 31.4% of the total mining extraction in the country, surpassing other important mining entities in Mexico such as Zacatecas, Durango and Chihuahua.
