New Cable Line Planned for the State of Mexico

The government of the State of Mexico is planning the construction of Line 3 of Mexicable, with the aim of improving mobility for the large number of inhabitants.

By the end of 2023, Daniel Sibaja, Head of the State Government’s Mobility Secretariat, introduced the Colibrí Sustainable Mobility Plan.

The program includes ten priority actions to build a more efficient mobility for all citizens of the State of Mexico, especially those who live in the most populated municipalities that commute to the capital on a daily basis.

Macro Plan

The strategy contains 10 actions to improve mobility in the State of Mexico, such as the anti-corruption line “El Colibri“; and Traslado Seguro, which will seek to carry out operations in conjunction with the Secretariat of Security.

Likewise, he proposes the transformation of public transportation to set up regional work tables with concessionaires, with the objective of establishing a dialogue and participation of transportation operators in the State of Mexico.

Another measure is to have a single Mexican mobility card to standardize payment for all Mexicable and Mexibus lines.

It contemplates a new Mexicable in Naucalpan and the implementation of the Metromex, where the construction of works for the benefit of the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico and Toluca is planned.
