Porsche Expands Charging Network in Argentina After Partnering with Chargerbox

In 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Porsche decided to continue betting on the expansion of its robust “Destination Charging” network.

With the support of the Argentine company Chargerbox, the German brand set the goal of offering Taycan customers the appropriate charging infrastructure through different strategic points in Buenos Aires and surrounding areas.

A few weeks ago, both companies joined forces to install new electric chargers in the Nordelta region, as a way to facilitate charging for these customers.

The implementation of the two points, one universal Chargebox and the other specific to Porsche, took place inside the parking lot of the Unido restaurant, located in the private neighborhood of Tigre.

The Chargebox charger has a capacity of 22 kW, while the Porsche charger delivers up to 7.4 kW. It should be noted that the Argentine company also has alliances with other automakers that broaden its range of offerings.

In September 2020, when Porsche launched its first 100% electric car for sale in Argentina, the President of the official importer Nordenwagen, Hugo Pulenta, stated that with the Taycan you can travel seven times from Puerto Madero to Nordelta, without recharging batteries.

Now, in addition to the car’s portentous autonomy, there is the possibility of recharging it with the network presented by Porsche and Chargebox, giving more peace of mind to users who are still uncertain about the on-board range of their electric cars.

While it is possible with the new Taycan to travel more than 400 kilometers uninterruptedly, developing the Porsche Destination Charging network with the assistance of Chargebox net gives extra peace of mind when leaving home,” Pulenta said.

He pointed out that the charging options at strategic ports along the route provide options for 100% performance at all times.
