The sale of electric vehicles in Mexico recorded a significant increase this year, with an increase of 180% year-on-year.
This is reflected in figures from the Mexican Automotive Industry Association (AMIA), based on information published by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).
In April of this year alone, 3,992 units were patented, including hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric cars, representing 4% of the total.
The aforementioned data further encourages manufacturers and companies to increase their investments in Mexico.

The agencies opened by SEV will be in Leon, Monterrey, Puebla, Polanco, Satellite and Tultitlan.
