Siemens Offers to Charge Four Vehicles at the Same Time with the New “SICHARGE D”

Siemens presented SICHARGE D, its new charger for electric vehicles that complies with relevant standards, protocols and regulations and can be adapted to current and future charging needs.

In a press release, the German giant highlights that, with the SICHARGE D dispenser, it is possible to charge up to four vehicles at the same time with a single grid connection, optimizing charging times and offering financial and space savings for Charging Point Operators (CPOs).

Markus Mildner, CEO of eMobility at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, noted that the widespread adoption of electric mobility is a necessity for a more sustainable future.

“Reducing charging times for both electric cars and electric trucks, especially on-road, will play a key role in increasing the convenience and acceptance of this type of transportation. SICHARGE D is a major milestone in achieving this,” he explained in statements released by the Electric Mobility portal.

Superior Power

Designed with flexibility in mind, SICHARGE D addresses different use cases such as destination charging, public fast charging or highway charging, and can deliver a continuous and stable power output of 400 kW at an ambient temperature of 40°C.

It features a multilingual touch screen with an intuitive user interface and cable management on both the charger and dispenser to facilitate cable handling, making charging as convenient as possible for electric vehicle (EV) drivers.

In addition, Point of Charge Operators will be able to benefit from the flexibility of the solution, as the touch screen also offers different advertising options, and a variety of payment terminals can be integrated, matching the CPO‘s payment partner.

Similarly, customized services and ongoing support are offered throughout the product lifecycle, from initial installation to digital and remote services and on-site support.
