The boom in the commercialization of electric vehicles in Brazil continues to open the doors for large-scale projects, with large-scale investments and public-private partnerships of great magnitude.
According to figures released by the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association (ABVE), 5,989 units were registered in March, representing a growth of 55.5% compared to March 2022 (3,851).
It was the best March ever and the second best month in the organization’s entire historical series.
One of the companies seeking to massify electric mobility and accelerate technological development is Suspensys, a manufacturer of axle and suspension systems for commercial vehicles.
The company inaugurated the production unit dedicated to electromobility technologies, at the company’s headquarters in Caxias do Sul (state of Rio Grande do Sul).
Major Project
The complex called “Suspensys E-Mobility” is a structured plant that introduces the company into a new segment: the assembly and production of batteries.
Through its own projects, the unit is capable of supplying light and commercial vehicles, agricultural implements and other industrial applications, with several manufacturing possibilities and appropriate destination of the components produced.
In addition, the factory will receive the entire manufacturing structure of e-Sys, an innovative electric auxiliary traction system developed and marketed by the company.

Innovation
The plant features high-end technology in the production line, automation in the manufacturing process and special high-safety devices, such as a fire prevention system that uses a basic salt-based substance instead of water to extinguish fires.
The e-plant operates in an area isolated from the rest of the Suspensys factory, which maintains the lines of the other axle and suspension products in the company’s portfolio.
Another advantage of the investment is the agility in the development time of the projects in relation to the competition, since it is a national plant with its own resources and technology.
The inauguration materializes the structuring of the plant, which was already operating in the experimental phase in the second half of 2022, with the start of manufacturing and sales of the e-Sys system.
