Toyota, global mobility partner of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), presented its mobility concept for Paris 2024.
In this partnership, the Japanese company aims to make Paris 2024 the most innovative inclusive and sustainable mobility showcase to date.
Toyota will make available around 700 “last mile” personal mobility vehicles, including 250 C+walkS with seat and C+walkT for standing use.
Features
These are battery-electric vehicles with a maximum speed of 6 km/h and are equipped with front obstacle detection systems.
For wheelchair users, Toyota will also provide 50 e-pullers in the athletes’ village.

In addition, Toyota will deploy around 250 APM (Accessible People Movers) electric vehicles and 150 Proace Verso, also battery electric and wheelchair accessible.
After Paris 2024, all vehicles will remain in the Paris region, where they will be used to provide specialized personal transportation services for wheelchair users.
On a Large Scale
With regard to passenger vehicles, Toyota will carry more than 2,650, of which around 60% of the fleet will have zero CO2 emissions, including Toyota bZ4X, Proace and Proace Verso and Lexus RZ battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and Toyota Mirai hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).
A total of 500 of the latter will be deployed and will join the existing fleet of hydrogen cabs in Paris after the Games, bringing the number of FCEVs to 1,500.
These 100% zero-emission vehicles will be joined by around 1,000 hybrids (HEVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), including RAV4s, Toyota Corolla TS, Yaris Cross and Highlander. All these solutions will contribute to reducing carbon emissions from vehicles at the Paris 2024 Games by 50% compared to previous Games.
