Volkswagen Mexico Leads the Integral Sustainable Transformation in the Automotive Industry

The year 2023 was key for the automotive industry in Mexico, with a year-end that reflected a significant recovery along with sustained growth that augurs a promising future. These words, spoken by Holger Nestler, CEO and President of Volkswagen Mexico, sum up the feeling of optimism and commitment that characterizes one of the leading companies in the sector in the country.

Nestler’s statement evidences satisfaction with the achievements made, with a clear vision going forward: the automotive industry has a responsibility to continue growing economically while strategically addressing the environmental, economic and social needs facing Mexico and the region as a whole.

Knowing that the fight against climate change is increasingly urgent, automotive companies have a role to play in this area, and that is where Volkswagen Mexico has demonstrated its commitment to sustainability through the production of electric vehicles and the promotion of cleaner and more efficient technologies.

In addition to the environmental aspect, Nestler also emphasizes the importance of addressing the country’s economic and social needs, as the automotive industry generates employment and economic wealth with the potential to promote human and social development.

From training and education programs to corporate social responsibility initiatives, Volkswagen Mexico is committed to being an agent of positive change in the communities where it operates.

In this sense, Nestler’s vision of leadership goes beyond simply achieving financial goals; it is about creating a positive and sustainable impact in all aspects, as it is a vision that recognizes the interconnection between business success and the well-being of society as a whole.
