On October 11 and 12, Mexico City will host the most important mobility meeting in Latin America, organized by the region’s leading community, Latam Mobility.

Latam Mobility: Mexico 2022 will bring together the main leaders of the public and private sectors, who will exchange ideas and perspectives on topics such as sustainable mobility, electromobility, sustainability, decarbonization of transportation, clean fuels, among others.

For the first day, to be held on Tuesday, October 11, the panel Current and future development of charging infrastructure in Mexico will discuss the challenges and opportunities in the country to promote the massification of energy supply centers for electric cars.

The debate will feature the distinguished participation of the Senior Director of USA & Global Operations of Blink Charging, Juan Carlos Barahona; the LATAM Business Development Manager of Vehya, Daniela García; the Chief Business Officer of Wallbox Chargers, Masud Rabbani; the Latam Director of Power Electronics, Hector Muñoz and the Director of Electromobility of Siemens, Horacio Ramos.

Companies such as Blink Charging recently announced the installation of charging points in Mexico, which is part of its ambitious expansion plan in Latin America.

It should be noted that the charging infrastructure represents one of the most important challenges for the massification of electromobility, since the high demand for electrified cars must go hand in hand with a supply platform that supplies new technologies.

In Mexico, initiatives such as the Electric Sector Energy Saving Program have been implemented by the Federal Electricity Commission to promote the use of electric mobility technology, either for private use or for public transportation, since it is a unit specialized in public policy and energy efficiency policies.
