Geotab, a global leader in telematics and fleet management, has unveiled a series of tools and improvements designed to help companies manage their fleets more efficiently and sustainably.

Among the key innovations are the Geotab Sustainability Center, a new Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) Report, improvements to the Electric Vehicle Suitability Assessment (EVSA), and the Electric Vehicle (EV) Charge Monitoring.

These solutions enable companies to improve operational efficiency while supporting global efforts to reduce emissions and contribute to a cleaner future.

These new solutions are backed by a recent Geotab survey conducted in the European Union, which reveals interesting insights about the capacity of fleets to meet emission reduction targets.

The results show that the majority of fleet managers are optimistic about meeting the deadlines: 44.5% believe their organization will meet the emission targets on time, while 31% are even more confident, stating they will achieve them ahead of schedule.

However, the study also highlights a significant contradiction: despite the focus on sustainability and emission reductions, only 29% of respondents consider CO2 emission data as a relevant metric when using telematics systems.

Climate change is an urgent challenge, and at Geotab we know that you can’t manage what you can’t measure. Geotab’s solutions provide fleets with accurate data to track their emissions and fuel usage, manage electric vehicle charging, generate reports, comply with regulations, and set future goals,” said Edward Kulperger, Senior Vice President for EMEA at Geotab.

“As the transport industry evolves and requirements change, Geotab is developing the tools and solutions necessary to meet regulations and grow our customers’ businesses,” he concluded.
