The sale of electric vehicles started off strong in 2025 in Colombia, with a significant increase in the sector during the first month of the year.
According to the monthly report by Fenalco and ANDI on the Colombian automotive sector, January was an important month for the electric and hybrid car segments, which continue their growth in the country.
In January, electric vehicle sales grew by 345%, with 966 vehicles sold compared to January 2024.
Meanwhile, hybrid vehicle sales grew by 57.5%, with 3,145 vehicles sold compared to January 2024.
Leading Brands
Regarding brands, Toyota continues to lead in units sold, with 802 in the month across both segments, but the highest growth percentage belongs to KIA, with 1,520%.
Renault, Hyundai, and BYD also show notable growth in the electric and hybrid segment in the country.
Colombia continues to set the pace as one of the fastest-growing countries in the low-emission vehicle market in the region, driven by investments and public policies.
