Optibus and URBI Join Forces to Boost Urban Mobility in Brazil

“At URBI we believe that whoever does not innovate in a constantly evolving world will end up being left behind.” This is how Larissa Sabóia, planning analyst at URBI Mobilidade Urbana, sees the challenge of managing the necessary actions to provide a great service today that will extend into the future, and be able to adapt to the changes taking place as time goes by.

URBI is a collective public transportation company in Brasília, with a fleet of more than 500 units performing more than 3,400 trips per day, covering nearly 3,700,000 kilometers, meeting the transportation needs of more than 3,300,000 passengers.

URBI uses Optibus, the world’s most technologically advanced public transport scheduling and planning software, and has been working with the Brazilian transport company for the past year, synchronizing trips and establishing parameters to improve quality, with the purpose of getting the most out of the working fleet.

The Optibus planning module is being used to optimize our resources, both vehicles and crew, and also to seek a reduction in system costs,” said Sabóia, referring to one of the features and advantages of using this software on his bus fleet.
