Major manufacturers and companies linked to the automotive industry have executed important strategies in recent years to transition their operations to clean energy. Most of the brands have not only focused on the production of electric vehicles, but also on battery technology.
In this sense, firms see Latin America as fertile territory to deepen their innovations and take advantage of the niche of opportunities to develop mobility and sustainability projects.
Against this backdrop, prestigious companies will meet on October 11 and 12 at “Latam Mobility: Mexico 2022”, a meeting that will bring together authorities from the public sector and private enterprise to offer their perspectives and present plans to promote sustainable mobility in the region.

Iconic Brands
The activity to be held at the World Trade Center in Mexico City will include the panel “Technological Advances in Sustainable Mobility, perspective of the automotive industry”, with the participation of emblematic global firms.
Porsche, represented by its PR Manager, Hermilo Najera, will present its innovations to promote new and efficient forms of mobility. The company is promoting the use of ethanol as a clean fuel and an alternative to the energy transition in the automotive fleet.
The president and CEO of Renault Mexico, Magdalena López Estrada, will reveal the French company’s plans in Mexico in the short and medium term. It should be noted that the company plans to present a wide range of electrified cars in the region in the coming years.
Claudia Rodriguez, Director of Strategic Projects, Electrification and Customer Experience at Nissan Mexico will also be attending the Latam Mobility forum to discuss the company’s innovations. The manufacturer recently launched its e-POWER platform for electric cars in Mexico.
Alberto Romero, R&D and Engineering Mexico Head of Vitesco Technologies and Mario Castañeda, Procurement Director of LeasePlan will also be part of the forum to highlight the perspectives of the Mexican automotive sector in favor of massifying sustainable mobility.
The automotive industry plays a key role in the adoption of new technologies and decarbonization of the vehicle fleet due to its scope and wide innovative capacity.
